Remember how you looked at the night sky when you were a child?
Where does the awe and wonder go, is it yet in an old jacket pocket
in a box in your mother's attic?
How close to the earth we were, short-legged and unmarked by the worries of the world.
How easy to dream of bright tomorrows, when so many lay ahead.
Remember when you could see the face of the man in the moon?

The irony, we grow nearer to the moon
yet lose the dreams we had further away

When we grow old we return to childhood in so many ways
Even down to shrinking in height as we stoop and our spines settle

Is physical height literally attached to this??

I take pride in keeping the child inside alive
I think its a fear of losing the adulthood and the 'gifts' that come with it that we let it die so willingly

Seriously, who wants to fear losing all those responsibilities unless they are more fulfilling in completion
than the simple things that once held us in awe?

Thought inducing work though mate, kudos.
