andscape sky figure mask

This may seem like a very simple manipulation, but I actually worked on it for two weeks. It's nothing like my original vision, which would have been in daylight with three figures holding flower covered spears. The only way to realize it would have been through traditional oil or acrylic painting, and since I have no painting supplies here I had to do the best with the stock I could find. I did change day to night, and even moved a mountain before moving it back...
As for the odd lighting, the mountains and rocks are backlit by the moon, while I can only assume there's a strong light to the right foreground, out of our field of vision. Maybe a fire, or maybe the welcoming lights of the local Howard Johnsons...
