Literature Text
You ask me how I am; I’m fine, I’m fine
My toes have fallen off from walking barefoot in the snow
But I didn’t need them anyway, I’m okay
It’s you I’m worried about, grey –faced and dull-eyed
What’s going on, old friend? You’ve lost weight
Your step is slower, your shoulders stooped, are you in pain?
I see you’ve lost your toes as well
Let us walk together then; daylight will come in time
My toes have fallen off from walking barefoot in the snow
But I didn’t need them anyway, I’m okay
It’s you I’m worried about, grey –faced and dull-eyed
What’s going on, old friend? You’ve lost weight
Your step is slower, your shoulders stooped, are you in pain?
I see you’ve lost your toes as well
Let us walk together then; daylight will come in time

Winter Haiku
Snow dappled mountains
Majestic in their glory
Winter's Sentinels...
A winter flower
She rises above all odds
Behold how she blooms...
Snow falls to the ground
Collecting each unique flake
turning the ground white...

Literature
unfettered
When we met
I was shoving roots
into the ground.
Anchors braided thick
and strong so I could
stretch my dreams
toward the heavens:
quivering and fearful in
their green naivete.
But you were making
birds in the palm
of your hand,
tiny faith-filled wings
fluttering as they
learned the fall
from your fingertips
wasn't that bad,
and the ground was
always softer
than in looked.
I buried your memory
deep beneath me
in hopes that
I could drink you in,
and one day
loose my worries
even if I could never
let go of you.
Literature
vi.
he's a beautiful chaos,
bluegray eyes and a haunted smile
that can only belong to a
stormtorn sky-
hold me in your warmth and i'll shiver
